Georgie Horjus

Georgie Horjus took her game to new heights in 2023, driving her side’s attacking end to success as a key playmaker.

She topped her side for feeds (326), goal assists (271), and centre pass receives (305), and finished second to Shamera Sterling for overall Nissan Net Points with 1018.5.

In her first SSN finals series, Horjus was named Player of the Finals for the Thunderbirds as they took consecutive wins over the NSW Swifts in the Semi-Final and the Grand Final.

After becoming a premiership player at just 21 years of age, Horjus also earned her second selection in the Australian side to compete at the Fast5 Netball World Series.

The Kangaroo Island local started her netball journey with Parndana Netball Club before joining Contax Netball Club in the Premier League. 

She came through the Netball SA pathway, representing the Southern Netball Academy at the Academy Games and SA at the National Netball Championships.

Off court, Horjus studies Human Movement and a Master of Secondary Teaching.
