Petty led her home club to the ultimate success in 2023, playing in her first SSN finals series and bringing home the trophy for her first premiership.

In her third year as sole captain of the Adelaide Thunderbirds, Petty became a premiership captain for her home club.

Playing across centre and wing defence, she finished the season with 92 feeds, 73 goal assists and eight intercepts.

After lifting the trophy for her side at the SSN Grand Final, she went on to represent Australia at the 2023 Fast5 Netball World Series, named as vice-captain.

Petty made her way through the Netball SA Pathway as a junior and debuted in the pink dress in 2016.

She started with Wudinna Netball Club in her hometown on the Eyre Peninsula before moving to Adelaide and representing Tango Netball Club in the Netball SA Premier League.

In 2017, she captained the Australian side who competed at the Netball World Youth Cup in Botswana, playing under coach Tania Obst and alongside teammate Matilda Garrett.

Off the court, Petty is studying for a Bachelor of Education.
